- If you have earned 24 transferable semester hours with a minimum transfer GPA of 2.25, you meet the academic standards for admission.
- If you have less than 24 transferable semester hours, we will defer to the academics standards established for high school students: a minimum composite ACT score of 20 and either ranked in the top half of your high school class or earned a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. Students who have been out of high school for more than five years are not required to present an ACT.
- Apply online at www.morningside.edu or complete a paper application
- Request your high school to send an official transcript and ACT/SAT scores to the Office of Admissions.
- Request each college and university that you have attended to send an official grade transcript to the Office of Admissions.
- Plan to visit the campus and meet with faculty and staff.
- The Admissions Committee reviews your file when all materials are received.
- Upon acceptance you are sent a letter verifying your status.
- The Registrar prepares an evaluation of your transfer credits and calculates your transfer GPA.
- You are mailed notice of the $100 Enrollment Deposit.
- After we receive the Enrollment Deposit you are sent information about campus housing and class registration.
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1. The Morningside College school code is 001879.
- If participating in any Talent Award areas, schedule an audition or portfolio review through the Office of Admissions.
