Once again, the public relations office is sponsoring a May Term photo contest. This year the contest will be open to any student who is enrolled in a May Term course. Winners will receive a $25 voucher to be used at the bookstore. Depending on the response, we will announce awards in up to four categories:
Each student may submit up to two photos, but each photo must be entered in a different category. The deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. Friday, July 15.
To enter the contest, please follow the instructions below and then e-mail digital images to welpj@morningside.edu. Please make sure that the photos are the highest resolution possible. Thanks for participating!
Save the digital files under the following title: First Word of Category_Your First Name_Your Last Name
In the body of the e-mail, or in an attached document, provide the following:
- Your name and your May Term course.
- Title of the photo. Be creative!
- Where the photo was taken.
- A paragraph description of the photo. Be creative! Tell us what is happening in the photo, how you happened to take the picture, and why the image is meaningful to you.
- “I, (type your full name here), give Morningside College permission to use my photograph(s) for promotional purposes.”
Current plans are to publish the winning photos in the fall-winter 2011 issue of The Morningsider. Have fun during May Term, and get some great photos!
