Morningside College is designated one of the Midwest’s “Best Regional Colleges” in the 2011 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” released by U.S. News & World Report. Morningside is ranked 27 out of 95 regional colleges in the Midwest.
This is the seventh consecutive year that U.S. News has designated Morningside a “Best College.” The U.S. News college rankings, which compare more than 1,400 schools nationwide, are available at www.usnews.com/colleges and also are published in the September issue of U.S. News & World Report magazine, available on newsstands August 31.
The U.S. News rankings for the best regional colleges category are based on key indicators in six broad areas: peer assessment, retention and graduation rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, and alumni giving. U.S. News identifies regional colleges as institutions that focus on undergraduate education and offer a range of degree programs in the liberal arts and in professional fields such as business, nursing and education.
