Pam Mickelson, professor of business administration at Morningside College, and Jim Fisk, librarian and coordinator of student academic support services at Morningside, recently made a presentation at the “Assessment for the Changing Learning Environment” conference in Minneapolis that was sponsored by The Collaboration for the Advancement of College Teaching & Learning.
Their presentation was titled “Assessing Information Literacy: Faculty and Library Collaboration to Increase Student Learning.” Mickelson and Fisk presented effective practices that have brought about collaboration across disciplines at Morningside College with the aid of library personnel.
Mickelson joined the Morningside faculty in 1988. She received her bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University, her master’s degree from Arkansas State University and her doctorate from Oklahoma State University.
Fisk joined Morningside in 2001. He received his bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Emporia State University.
The Collaboration for the Advancement of College Teaching & Learning, based in St. Paul, Minn., is an alliance of colleges and universities that supports outstanding college teaching and learning.
