The Residential Coordinator will live on campus and be responsible for overseeing residence hall activities and implementing a summer residential program that provides an environment conducive to educational and personal growth for high school aged participants. The Residential Coordinator provides direct supervision to the college mentors, and oversees the bridge program, residence hall operations, student residential life, and tutorial services.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in student activities or residence hall programming. Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to transport students to activities.
TIME FRAME: Approx. May 27 to July 11, 2008
HOURS: Sunday evening through Friday afternoon (including overnights)
PAY: $3,000 + Room and Board for entire season
(Would have July 4th off)

Under the supervision of the UB Residential Coordinator, College Mentors will live on campus and be responsible for the day-to day supervision of high school aged participants. This includes interacting with students and providing proper 24-hour supervision during the residential program. The mentors will help students explore and understand the college environment while encouraging a positive lifestyle. Mentors will provide academic tutoring in Math, Science, English and Foreign Language. Mentors are responsible for implementation of student extracurricular activities and ensuring student discipline.
Qualifications: Upper level college students preferred, minimum of freshman year of college completed and in good academic standing. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to transport students.
TIME FRAME: Approx. May 28 to July 11, 2008

PAY: $2,000 + Room and Board for entire season
